About the Owners:

Jim Barry is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Suffolk University. At the tender age of 16, Jim began his own construction company. Lots of hard work, long hours, a desire for financial independence and a quality personal life distinguish this successful real estate professional.

The purchase of a two-family home in 1970 was the beginning of a long-running, very successful career in property management. Jim has specialized in property management for over 30 years. Being known nationally, Jim has worked with capital and operating budgets exceeding $100 million, overseeing 55000 projects (60 shopping centers, many apartment complexes, a number of office buildings, country clubs and mobile home parks) across all 50 states, and has been responsible for $145 million in a diversified portfolio of investment properties throughout the country. Jim has consistently turned distressed and low-producing properties into profitable ventures. He assists owners, developers and lenders in the development, financing and management of income properties. Jim is a real estate educator, coach and speaker.

Jim has joined forces with his son, JP. Jim and JP are both real estate brokers. They currently work with properties in NH, MA, NY & SC. JP began running construction equipment at the age of 14. Together, Jim and JP have combined their most important secrets to become extremely successful in property management and consulting. They are very knowledgeable in real estate projects of all sizes (from 1 to 2 family units to 2200 units). They work with commercial and residential properties of all types.

Jim has taught at colleges and universities in New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. He is the founder of the Barry School of Real Estate based out of Concord, NH.

JP did his undergraduate work at St. Lawrence University. He obtained his master’s in Financial Management and Leadership from Franklin Pierce College. JP’s experience goes well beyond academia. At 16 JP got his CDL license to run the big rigs used to haul gravel and topsoil. JP learned to develop real estate from  the ground up. Hands-on experience in collecting rents, setting rental rates, painting, carpentry, plumbing and wiring were also part of the knowledge acquired as a young person.

Jim and JP are dynamic in communication skills and ability to delegate, motivate and accomplish objectives through the efforts of subordinates. They worked with the investment and financial planning aspects of portfolios of large holding companies representing billions of dollars in assets.
